Here we go again.
Another National Champion has been crowned and of course, the NBA comes calling like how thirsty dudes DM chicks on Twitter on a regular basis.
Jay Wright has been considered one of the top coaches in the country for a while now, but the only thing he was missing on his resume was a National Championship. Now, you can check that off the list.
So, with a title under his belt now, Wright should take on the NBA challenge, right?
Not so fast.
Here’s five reasons why he should run away from the Suns immediately:
1. He’s a King in Philly – Jay Wright just did something that hasn’t been done in Philly for a very long time and that’s win a championship. No matter what happens from this point on, Wright won’t have to ever pay for anything in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’.
2. Phoenix isn’t OKC – This is a completely different situation than what Billy Donovan fell into. Donovan has two of the top five players in the world on his team, while the Suns have a roster filled of young inexperienced guys.
3. Nova could repeat – With Josh Hart and Kris Jenkins likely to return, the Wildcats will still be a top 10, maybe top five team in the preseason rankings. Also, they have five-star Omari Spellman coming in.
4. The NBA is cruel – With how the NBA is setup nowadays, if you have one really bad season, you could end up being fired. Phoenix is in no position to compete for a title soon, let alone a playoff spot in the western conference.
5. Married to an ex-Villanova Cheerleader – If this isn’t enough of a reason, then I don’t know what is.
