Congratulations to Antonio Cromartie and his wife Terricka on welcoming a healthy set of twins earlier this morning.
NFL player Antonio Cromartie and wife Terricka Cromartie welcomed their twin babies into the world in the very early hours of Monday, May 9, the happy couple confirm exclusively to Us Weekly.
The couple, who married in November 2008, already have two children, daughter Jurzie, 5, and son Jagger, 3. They revealed in February that they were expecting a son and a daughter this time around. Antonio also has eight other children from previous relationships.
But despite their latest additions being a huge surprise, both Antonio, 27, and his wife consider their babies a huge blessing, and have some straight talking words for anybody who wants to criticize.
“It took me a while to process it,” Terricka, 28, admitted of her most recent pregnancy, “but Antonio stood firm and was saying, ‘It’s God’s will.’ And he’s been excited the whole time.”
“To be honest, I’ve gone back and forth about if I wanted to share the news or not,” she explained to Us. “All my children are blessings and all of Antonio’s children are blessings, for that matter. It was made to seem that my children weren’t a blessing because they were categorized by a number, and for that reason and that reason alone, I hid both of my [first two] pregnancies with my husband, just so I could enjoy them with those who were really happy for me.”
But while the happy mom-of-four is delighted with her newest arrivals, she’s taking steps to make sure these babies are her last – she’s getting her tubes tied! – US Weekly
Cromartie caught flack once for not being able to name all of his children but by all accounts he has turned a corner as a father and a husband. There’s nothing wrong with having 12 children if you have the time and resources to take care of them.
