It’s a sweet 16 as the BET Awards celebrates another year of stardom with it’s annual award show taking place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on June 26. Kicking off what’s sure to be a hot summer of music and entertainment, the yearly event will award statuettes honoring some of the finest in music, entertainment and sports. Leading the field, Drake logs in with a whopping 9 nominations while Beyoncé and Rhihanna check-in with five nods a piece.
The 2016 edition has a full order of entertainment planned which includes a newly added high energy video crafted by renowned choreographer Will “Wildabeast” Adams and choreography partner Janelle Ginestra which will serve as the nominee announcement for the categories ‘Best Collaboration,’ ‘Best Male Hip Hop Artist,’ and ‘Best Female Hip Hop Artist.’ The video will feature special appearances by dance greats China Taylor, Taylor Hatala, and even a cameo from “Black-ish” star Miles Brown.
The 2016 “BET Awards” will premiere around the world on BET’s international network. It will air in the UK on Tuesday, June 28th at 9:00pm BST, in Africa on Tuesday, June 28th at 7:00pm CAT, and in France on Wednesday, June 29th at 9:00pm CEST.
