The playing fate of Miami Heat star Chris Bosh has been decided. According to the Miami Heat Twitter account, the Heat and bosh have decided that Chris will not play the remainder of the 2016 NBA playoffs. See the statement below.

As you know Bosh, 32, suffered blood clots in his lungs in 2015 that ended his season as he recovered. He was placed on blood-thinning medication that made it impossible for him to play contact basketball. The issues resurfaced this past February, and he has been inactive since.
Usually in issues between management and labor I tend to side with the players (labor). But in this case, Bosh and the HEAT are doing the right thing. This goes beyond wins and losses, we are talking about life and death and Bosh’s long term health. NBA contracts are guaranteed so this isn’t a money issue. Bosh should be commended for his desire to want to jump back in and help his team in the playoffs but he needs to look at this from a long term perspective. A difficult ask for most athletes. I suspect Bosh will have a statement forthcoming. Stay tuned.
