How WWE Extreme Rules Will Set Stage For Return of Injured Superstars

maxresdefault

  • The Miz vs. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn (Intercontinental Championship) – This will be the best match of the night and is a true toss-up. There’s a strong case that can be made for each man to hold the IC title but heading into the summer it’d only be right to set up a huge Owens vs Zayn match-up at Summer Slam. That’s why I see Zayn winning the belt and feuding with Miz for a few PPVs. This allows Owens to enter the MitB match before heading into the eventual ladder match feud with Zayn. Sami Zayn Wins
  • Kalisto vs. Rusev (United States Championship) – If the WWE has any pulse on their fan base they’ll know that it’s time for Kalisto to drop this strap. They tried to make him a solo star but he isn’t Rey Mysterio. Rusev has proven to be a legit U.S. champion before and he could be a good heel feud for some of the new talent on the roster or a returning John Cena. Rusev Wins
  • Charlotte vs. Natalya (Submission Match for Women’s Championship) – Natty has been one of the better wrestlers in the company for years now and it’s nice to see them giving her a little time to shine. This is a place where Natalya could grab the title and give it back to Charlotte at Raw or MitB. Natalya Wins
  • The New Day vs. The Vaudevillains (Tag Team Championship) – The Vaudevillians have been admirable foils to The New Day but they aren’t ready to take the straps off of the WWE’s most popular faction. This is a feud I can see going beyond just Extreme Rules. The New Day find a way to keep the belts without weakening the Vaudevillians. The New Day Rocks Wins
