Leah Still Steals Spotlight at Dad’s Dream Wedding (Photos-Videos)

It was the date they had all been waiting for since little Leah Still officially best cancer in 2015. On Friday, May 13 in a beautiful, star-studded ceremony in the New York Public Library, NFL player Devon Still exchanged vows with fiancé Asha Joyce. The couple had postponed their nuptials while caring for Leah in her battle with Stage IV neuroblastoma.

After hearing Devon vow to give Asha “the wedding of her dreams” during his 2015 ESPY award speech, experts at The Knot set their sights on just that. The organization lot only hosted the wedding, but also provided a charity registry on their website, the #1 wedding planning resource, to help the couple raise funds for pediatric cancer awareness.

For 8 weeks, fans across the country participated in weekly votes to determine key elements of the wedding for the couple who was named The Knot’s Dream Wedding Couple.

The Details:

The bride, Asha wore three looks: a sexy mermaid dress with lace appliques and Swarovski crystals by Pnina Tornai, followed by a mermaid champagne gown by Allure with ruffles, and ended the night with a strapless tulle getaway dress by Allison Parris from Rent the Runway.

Devon wore a custom designed velvet suit from Martin Greenfield Clothier.

Leah wore a pink, sparkly custom-designed flower girl dress from Hayley Paige.

The couple entered the reception to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder. Devon, Asha and Leah All performed dance together to “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars.

Sylvia Weinstock crafted their elegant, multi-tier wedding cake which was adorned with real and sugar flowers.

Guests dined on Asian, Hispanic, Southern and New England fares w/favorites including fried pulled-pork beignets, coconut red curry ramen, and Cuban during a non-traditional reception catered by Marcia Selden Catering.
