Delta Airlines appeared to be the latest to predict the NBA Champions before Game 1 of the Finals even tips off.
ESPN.com’s Dave McMenamin tweeted the above from his Delta flight Tuesday night.
This comes after the NBA’s official Facebook page posted a schedule on Sunday for the Finals that included the Golden State Warriors playing the Cleveland Cavaliers before the reigning champs even earned a spot in the Finals. Golden State did not defeated the OKC Thunder until Monday night.
Before conspiracy theorists jump on this…note that under the team logo, “2014-2015 NBA Champions” expresses that the documentary is about last season.
The fact that Delta made an error probably does little to quell the rumors and conspiracy theories that the league is rigged. OKC’s epic meltdown to lose the Western Conference Finals after leading 3-1 coupled with the NBA’s Facebook snafu do more than enough to keep the fire burning.
