A rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz is close to being finalized for UFC 202 on Aug. 20 in Las Vegas, MMA Fighting has learned. If all goes according to plan, the promotion is hoping to announce the much-anticipated welterweight rematch shortly.
McGregor lost the initial match up between these two at UFC 196 but the late notice and bump up in weight classes gave McGregor a pretty good excuse for the loss. They were then scheduled to fight at UFC 200 in July but a dispute between Conor and the UFC saw him removed from the card.
With no hurdles left to clear, these two will finally get the opportunity to face-off at full strength.
