Details on Why Wiz Khalifa’s Label Suing Him for $2 Million

Wiz Khalifa

After Wiz Khalifa decided to file a lawsuit against his ex-manager Benjy Grinberg , and label Rostrum Records in hopes of getting out of his 360 deal; the label has fired back with a suit of their own. According to TMZ, Wiz Khalifa’s label Rostrum Records is suing him for $2 million in unpaid fees stemming from their contract with the Pittsburgh rapper.

Rostrum Records claims that Wiz Khalifa owes them 15% of touring and music royalties and an additional 20% for merchandise from a contract that was signed in 2005. Rostrum Records also claims that $2 million will resolve this issue due to the large amounts of money that Wiz Khalifa has brought in off of touring, music sales and of course, merchandise.

Wiz Khalifa ended his relationship with former manager and founder of Rostrum Records Benjy Grinberg in 2014. The suit that Wiz has filed against his label is due to being misled by manager Grinberg, who persuaded him to sign a 360 deal even when it wasn’t in Wiz’s best interest.

Wiz is seeking $1 million for his lawsuit against Grinberg and his label Rostrum Records for failing to detail other alternative agreements that were available but never disclosed.
