According to Drew Sharp of the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit Pistons can do a lot better than Andre Drummond. I’m not sure that the All Star center agrees with that sentiment.
In the report, Sharp points out how he feels that Drummond has basically peaked as a basketball player, and that any accolades that he is receiving– in particular being named to the All NBA Third Team, is attributed more to the lack of big men in the league as opposed to Drummond being one of the top 15 players in the league. The story also went on to say that they organization should trade Drummond and build around Stanley Johnson.
After the story posted, Drummond took to twitter and gave his thoughts in the most passive aggressive way possible; with a few emojis.
The bigger question in all of this is, what does SVG and the rest of the Detroit Pistons brass think is the best move for the organization? We’ll have to keep our eyes and ears open to see how this saga plays out.
