As Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor continue to troll sports fans and mass media with their “fight” announcement, other MMA fighters are jumping at the opportunity to toss their proverbial hats in the ring in the event Mayweather is serious about fighting McGregor.
Late Tuesday night McGregor’s real foe, Nate Diaz, joined the Mayweather chorus by saying he not only beats Mayweather but included back up support from another one of boxing’s biggest names, former super middleweight champion Andre Ward. In the video, courtesy of FightHype.com, Ward gives his take on Nate’s boxing abilities stating he could hold his own in a boxing match.
Holding one’s own doesn’t equal have a chance against Floyd Mayweather. Most people can hold their own in the kitchen but that doesn’t mean their ready to rumble with Wolfgang Puck.
Maybe this is all a big elaborate ploy to pump up McGregor vs. Diaz 2. Winner may, or may not, get Floyd Mayweather.
