Growing up in the Bronx taught me many things. In the Bronx Handball is an actual sport, Jamaican patties should only be purchased from White Plains Rd., double parking is completely legal and Sin City is a city landmark.
Sadly, the employees at Sin City were caught pushing drugs on the side to undercover officers. The investigation has been going since 2014 and the cops recently made the decision to bring a stop to it all.
The details of the drug bust are quite interesting:
The Mott Haven jiggle joint frequented by big-shots like Odell Beckham Jr., 50 Cent, T-Pain and Rob Kardashian really lived up to its name, authorities said, announcing charges against nine bouncers and dancers for allegedly selling $22,000-worth of cocaine to undercover cops.
Detectives said they bought the coke from Sin City employees on nearly two-dozen occasions since December 2014. In some instances the suspects sold individual doses rolled in a dollar bill for the marked-up price of $100, according to Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan.
Five dancers at the pole palace — Rosanna Debrooks, Claudia de la Rosa, Blair Padilla, Jasmine Edmonds and Joeana McCarthy — were nabbed in the indictment.
Sin City is a staple in the South Bronx and I’d assume this run-in with the law will be put behind them quickly. You can expect Joe Budden and half of Black Twitter to be back in there next weekend for their X-Mas in July party.
