You can’t blame Jets star WR Brandon Marshall for being a bit off-kilter with the Jets huge questions at the QB position and you can’t blame Ryan Fitzpatrick for acting like he’s Tom Brady stature with quarterbacks like Brock Oswilder and Kirk Cousins breaking the bank with free-agency money.

According to Marshall, Fitzpatrick is now ignoring his text messages. This means one of two things: Either Fitzpatrick is trying to negotiate the most important deal of his career and wants to do so in private, or he’s not planning on coming back.

Or it could be what Brandon Marshall thinks. Marshall appeared on Michael Rapoport’s CBS Radio podcast and had some guesses as to a few reasons why he hasn’t heard from his QB:

“I don’t know what’s going on. To be honest, me and Fitz talk everyday, all the time, but I texted him the last two weeks three times and there’s no response,” Marshall explained. “The only thing that he can do to make this right is to say he was on vacation, I was out of the country. It’s not like him. It’s scaring me right now. It’s scaring me that my guy hasn’t texted me back.”

If Fitzpatrick is indeed in the country and is just doing what his agent is telling his, Marshall might not like it, but he has to understand it.

Otherwise, Fitz; reach out to your boy, he’s worried sick.
