The ink on the UFC’s $4 billion dollar sale is barely dry but that isn’t stopping UFC President Dana White’s family from asking for some extra mula.
The Fertitas and White sold the UFC two weeks ago to WME-IMG. The reports of the sale were floating around for months, often denied by White, but the hype of UFC 200 and the impeding success of UFC 202 made it prime time to sell the company.
“No other sport compares to UFC,” remarked Dana White, UFC’s President who will continue in that role. “Our goal has always been to put on the biggest and the best fights for our fans, and to make this the biggest sport in the world. I’m looking forward to working with WME | IMG to continue to take this sport to the next level.”
Dana can now focus on just being the face of the UFC and not the owner of the brand. His family is well aware of the numbers of this new deal and they aren’t afraid to shoot their financial shoot.
