Remember when the Cavs took Anthony Bennett #1 overall? Well, that was a long time ago. Since then, LeBron came back and saved the city of Cleveland, while Bennett was shipped off to the T-Wolves and then again to the Raptors.
It hasn’t been quite the NBA career that Bennett, and many others, assumed he would have, considering he was #1 after all. All hope isn’t lost for Bennett, however. According to Bleacher Report, Shams Charania of The Vertical has reported that the Brooklyn Nets have signed Bennett to a 2-year minimum deal.
Even though Bennett hasn’t played up to his expected potential, his youth gives him the opportunity to be coachable, and he could still give the Nets something off the bench. Either way, Bennett has plenty competition on the Nets roster at his position, so we will see how it plays out once the season starts.
