Brock Lesnar earned a UFC record $2.5 million guaranteed purse for competing at UFC 200 but that money may not sit in Brock’s bank account for long.
A Twitter user pointed out that fighters are usually docked their purse if they test positive after the time of the event.

Losing the entire $2.5 million is a stretch for a first time offender but the NSAC does state that a portion can be forfeited.
Steroids:
• Three years and 50-70% of purse for first offense
• Four years and 75-100% of purse for second offense
• Lifetime ban and 100% of purse for third offense
Stimulants:
• Two years and 35-45% of purse for first offense
• Three years and 50-60% of purse for second offense
• Lifetime ban and 100% of purse for third offense
Diuretics:
• Two years and 30-40% of purse for first offense
• Three years and 40-50% of purse for second offense
• Lifetime ban and 100% of purse for third offense
Sedatives, muscle relaxants, sleep aids, anxiolytics, opiates and cannabis/marijuana
• 18 months and 30-40% of purse for first offense
• Two years and 40-50% of purse for second offense
• Three years and 60-75% of purse for third offense

Brock will go through the standard process and be given an opportunity to appeal but if found guilty he’ll have to repay at least a portion of his earnings.
