After initially admitting the drugs were his, Hawks forward Mike Scott has pled not guilty to all charges from his July 2015 drug arrest.
Scott was arrested in Georgia last summer after he and his brother led cops on a high speed chase. Upon searching the vehicle, police found 10 grams of MDMA and more than an ounce of marijuana.
Ever his brother’s keeper, Scott initially took the rap for the drugs in a recorded interrogation. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana – both felonies. His brother faces a host of other charges.
Scott’s attorney pled not guilty to both charges on his behalf in Banks County Court on Monday. If convicted, the 27-year-old faces up to 25 years in prison.
