Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne are both coming off of devastating KO losses. While Ronda’s was almost a year ago, Travis’ came just a few weeks ago at the hands of a healthy Cain Velasquez.
Ronda’s recent Reebok commercial showed her stripping away the extracurriculars and getting back to her roots as a fighter but taking trips with her boyfriend is a clear sign that Ronda has yet to return to the octagon full-time.
It’s possible that Ronda is waiting until late-September to begin her official return and enter training camp for UFC 205 in NYC but the Ronda of old was constantly in camps and focused on her training. That version Ronda had the confidence to move her Holly Holm fight up 2 months to fill a PPV void for the UFC. A bad move in hindsight but a sign of ultimate confidence.
Vacationing Ronda is a stark contrast form the previous version. She’s having a great time with BF Travis Browne and the lure of the octagon may be moving further away.
For example, this week they enjoyed a Hawaiian vacation and even had the opportunity to fly over the islands. Something 2013 Rousey didn’t take the time to enjoy but will happily prioritize now.
