Cam is just being Cam again and in most cases we to support him and his actions. Cam Newton is the league’s MVP which demands the spotlight in the field. The cameras are always on Cam as he makes big plays or celebrating with his teammates after touchdowns. Off the field Cam is a little different, he has no issue with keeping a low profile as he serves some good deeds.
Cam was spotted by Candace Gregory and her husband Danmon giving a meal to a homeless man on the streets of Baltimore. According to ESPN.com, Candace was blown away by the act of kindness As she felt it deserved more attention.
“People talk about him dabbing and all the stuff that in my mind ultimately should be irrelevant, because that doesn’t get to the heart of who he is. A lot of people were like, ‘Oh my God! That’s Cam Newton! The homeless guy had no idea who Cam was. He was just happy to have food. He was totally oblivious to everything.”
Candace then added that after watching the homeless man eat, it was clear that Cam had ordered extra food with the intent of giving it away. Cam also did all he could to keep a low profile as he blessed the homeless man with a meal from Sullivan’s.
“They were walking in a group and he slid over, gave the guy the bag and kept moving. It was a quick, smooth motion, like he was handing the ball off to a running back. He didn’t linger. He didn’t talk to the guy. You could tell he was trying to be discreet about it.”
I’m sure Cam shows acts of kindness like this a lot more often than we know.
