Jason Terry reached out to new Lakers Head Coach Luke Walton regarding joining the team. Terry wanted to provide some veteran leadership to the relatively young squad. However Walton was not feeling Terry offer and rejected it like Mutombo in the paint.
I called my good friend Luke. I told him if he needed any help, veteran leadership, in that capacity – Lakers – with an ability to coach at the end of my deal, then that was something I would be looking forward to. He utterly declined, and I respect him for that.
OUCH! Cold world indeed. Terry eventually signed with the Bucks so he won’t go hungry. This still is a blow to the ego.
Terry should have told Walton he could stop a D’angelo Russell from snitching on teammates. Then I’m sure he would’ve received an offer.
