Well guys, its looks like Kaepernick’s protest is going beyond headlines.
Coming to an update near you, Madden fans get ready to see just how real this game can get. According to Gamespot, Madden is looking to update their server to reflect the recent decision of Colin Kaepernick to sit during the National Anthem. While I don’t think it’ll be reflective in him actually doing it in the game, the commentary at least will mention the political choice of the 49ers QB.
“Kaepernick’s decision will be briefly mentioned in-game, reflecting our commitment to authenticity in Madden NFL 17,” a senior publicist for EA Sports said. “Overall, our new commentary will mainly center around on-field performance, as well as major news like trades, free agency signings, and injuries.
Kaepernick probably didn’t see this becoming so big, but it’s now being engraved into a game. Talk about controversy. Madden 17 is dedicated to being as real as possible and it looks like they’re dedicated to that commitment, political or not.
