There is uncertainty as to whether or not Clippers star, Blake Griffin, will re-sign with the team, but maybe some of that can be put to rest now. According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, Griffin is a going to be part of the Clippers organization long-term.
Sources close to Griffin have been adamant that he is planning to re-sign in L.A. and that he’s not open to going anywhere.
Sources close to the situation say win or lose, Rivers is not open to trade talks on Griffin or Paul and that he’s not worried about either walking away in July.
“Planning on re-signing” sounds so vague, but that’s all we can go off of for now.Kevin Durant’s camp seemed pretty adamant that he was re-signing with the Thunder, and we all know how that story ended. The competition in the Western Conference is fierce, and the Clippers haven’t fared well when it was playoff time. Let’s see if Griffin’s camp is as adamant when the season comes to a close, or if Doc is as certain about what the main core of the organization should look like.
