Following one of the most bizarre negotiations between a franchise and an incoming rookie, the San Diego Chargers and linebacker Joey Bosa have finally come to terms on a deal.
However, it’s unlikely we’ll see Bosa on the field this Sunday in Kansas City.
When the Chargers practiced in pads on Monday, Bosa didn’t participate, which was the case earlier today.
Meaning if Bosa were to play Sunday it would be his first time in pads since the Fiesta Bowl on New Year’s Day.
With that in mind, it’s safe to say Bosa won’t be playing in week one.
Nonetheless, head coach Mike McCoy is leaving the door open.
“Only time will tell,” coach Mike McCoy said, “because you know what? I’m not going to tell.”
Of course McCoy won’t give it away, but it’s a very high chance Bosa won’t be playing.
