The Seahawks and specifically Doug Baldwin botched this from the start.
The proper way would have been to consult all their teammates and come up with a consensus, keep it to themselves and then debut it during the game.
Instead for some reason Baldwin has just been making decisions on his own without speaking to everyone according to PFT.
On Saturday, Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin announced the team’s plan for Sunday’s pregame ceremony: All players will stand with arms locked during the national anthem.
As one league source explained it to PFT, not all players were aware of the plan before it became public on Saturday.
It put his teammates in awkward position, but now they have to go through with something that no one is really happy with.
