With everything that’s going on, athletes are getting more vocal. It started at the ESPYS when Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade gave their speeches about police brutality.
This conversation went into over drive when Colin Kaepernick decided to protest the anthem. Since then, the conversation with athletes and how they protest or not protest, has been all that’s talked about.
The NBA has been looking at what’s going on and are bracing themselves. Athletes such as Rajon Rondo and Russell Westbrook have spoken about the recent police shootings.
As the NBA season rings closer, it will be really interesting to if and how they protest or what they choose to do instead of that.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard, Iman Shumpert has already found a way to make this NBA season count.
Shumpert explains via Instagram what the #StealTheFear movement is and if he intends on protesting that anthem.
Good for Shump to find a unique way to contribute to the cause.
