Veteran guard Jason Terry isn’t jumping on the Klay Thompson hype train, especially after appearing on SiriusXM Radio — making clear that the other half of the “Splash Brothers” — is not the best shooting guard on the planet.
Host Justin Termine asked Terry who he believed was the best shooting guard in the NBA between Klay Thompson and former teammate James Harden — and Terry doesn’t even believe it’s close:
“He’s not leading s***”, Terry said of Klay Thompson. “If he doesn’t make shots, how effective is he? Go watch Klay Thompson vs. James Harden from last year and see what James did to him. Every time James got by him, you know who was there? Draymond Green or Andrew Bogut.
“Let’s see what happens this time around”.
Terry went onto say that he favors Harden due to his all-around game — but still gave Klay props for being an all-world shooter.
“I’m not a Klay Thompson hater”, Terry clarified, praising his shooting and his family. “It’s just when you put him up against James Harden, there’s no comparison”.
I’m not sure if Terry was trying to be divisive or just stir things up, because he went on to say that in his opinion — “Klay is a better shooter than Steph”, he exclaimed.
