Bernard Hopkins is finally hanging up the gloves for good.
Hopkins will have one more fight before ending his historic 28-year career that will most likely make him a first-ballot hall of famer. Here are the details from ESPN.
Boxing legend Bernard Hopkins will close out his 28-year-year career with a farewell fight against light heavyweight contender Joe Smith on Dec. 17 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya told ESPN on Monday.
The fight will be a 12-round light heavyweight televised on HBO. Hopkins last fought in 2014 at Atlantic City when he lost by decision to Sergey Kovalev in a light heavyweight title unification fight.
