What many thought would’ve been a good season for the Jets is looking like a disaster so far and there’s no way out. After last night’s loss against the Arizona Cardinals, Ryan Fitzpatrick claims that his teammates still believe in him.
Over the summertime, many Jets fans said that Ryan Fitzpatrick was the answer. I wonder if they’re looking to take that back. The Jets are currently 1-5 and the team chemistry is beginning to diminish.
Last night’s loss was just another one that hit below the belt. The Cardinals beat the Jets by a score of 28-3 which had many wondering, “Is this a college football game?” During the post-game conference, starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick spoke about the sentiments in the locker room.
And Fitzpatrick? Well, he doesn’t really give a damn. Because he says those inside the Jets locker room still believe he gives them the best chance on Sundays.
“You go head in there and ask them all if you want,” Fitzpatrick said.
It’s an unfortunate record to have but Fitzpatrick leads the league in interceptions. Jets head coach Todd Bowles shows no sign of benching him anytime soon. Bowles doesn’t entirely blame him which is understandable since this is a team effort but ultimately, he’s seen as a leader and the leader isn’t quite performing as expected.
The Jets face the Ravens on Sunday October 23 at MetLife. Might they add 1 to that win column? We’ll have to wait and see.
