This who situation just isn’t adding up.
It all started with Dez injuring his knee during Week 3 causing him to need an MRI. Dez then missed his MRI appointment and at least one meeting during the week in fear of getting bad results from his MRI. After that, things escalated rather quickly.
Reports quickly surfaced that Dez not only missed meetings last week but that he’s had an attendance issues all his career and “sources” say he’s missed as many as 20-40 meetings during his career.
Most of those in the Cowboys organization have been pretty tight-lipped about it all but not Dez. He’s been trying to clear his name since it all started stating that the rumors are crazy and that he owns up to his mistakes (missing MRI and meeting). I’d like to believe Dez but most people in this situation would try to clear their names but maybe we can take Jerry Jones at his word. Seeing that he’s the boss and signing checks, I’m sure he can clear everything up for us … WRONG!
According to BleacherReport.com, Jerry was asked if the reports about Dez and missing meetings were true and his answer left me even more confused and unsure.
“On the face of them, yes, I would say they are incorrect, because only God knows how many of the meetings one way or another he missed.”
Maybe Jerry is taking a page out of the Marshawn Lynch notebook and will answer anything tied to Dez and meetings with “Only God Knows.”
