Joe Budden Says Drake’s Arrogance Will Be His Demise (Video)

Drake dropped “Two Birds, One Stone” on Sunday where he dissed Kid Cudi and Pusha T. The record is the latest in a number of diss records the Canadian rapper has unleashed in the last year and a half. His behavior is a far cry from “Diss me and you’ll never hear a reply for it” – lyrics Drake uttered on his hit record, “Successful”.

This is a point Joe Budden brought up when discussing the 6 God and his latest beef. Budden says it is clear that this is not the same Drake who spit those lyrics years ago. In recent history, Drake has engaged in rap beefs with Meek Mill, Joe Budden, Pusha T, and Kid Cudi.  Fans will recall Budden famously chasing Drake fans in the street in a video that quickly went viral. According to Budden, the biggest difference is Drake’s arrogance and his present feeling of invincibility.

Those two traits are what the NY lyricist believes will ultimately be Drake’s downfall; not another rapper. Making it clear that he wants to stay out of the beef, Budden goes on to share his true thoughts about “Two Birds, One Stone”. He believes that Kudi wasn’t really a focal point of the song. The real shot, he feels, is at both Pusha T and Jay Z. Jay Z and Drake have had a complicated relationship behind the scenes, with Kanye West recently alluding to the fact that Hov was a reason he and Drake hadn’t released their highly anticipated joint project.

While Hov and Drake have not taken shots directly or publicly, Budden believes that Jay Z is watching closely and preparing a master plan. Drake is no doubt riding high on his success, but will Hov be the one to bring him back down to Earth?
