It seems corner backs in the NFL have resorted to letting Odell Beckham Jr. know early, just what will be tolerated.
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith, let it be known to ESPN.com, that he’ll hit the Giants star receiver back, if he delivers a cheap shot.
“All of that extra hitting and talking, that’s not going to fly,” Smith told ESPN in Baltimore. “That’s not my game. I like to line up and play. Give me your best shot and I’ll give you mine. But if you hit me after the whistle, there’s going to be a fight.”
Smith didn’t reveal if he’ll follow Beckham Jr. around, but acknowledged he’s a great player.
“He’s a physical player, and I’m a physical player,” Smith said. “So, I’m pretty sure we’ll have a good matchup.”
This will be a good one, as the Ravens seem to be back to their normal hard-hitting ways — entering the game ranked No. 3 in the NFL in defense.
