Recent reports have surfaced that Dez Bryant has been showing a lack of regard for his responsibilities as a player for the Cowboys. Shannon Sharpe brought up some good points on The Undisputed. Many times players may feel that they should be exempt for doing things required by the team because of who they are.
Dez clearly feels this way if these reports are accurate. Sharpe alludes to the fact that Dez always says that he wants to be great. However, Sharpe points out that great players have unquestioned work ethic, which it appears that Dez is lacking due to him missing so many things that would be considered important to his growth and development as a player.
Bryant has had some setbacks the past few years. This season it’s a hairline fracture of his knee that has him out 1-2 weeks. In 2015 it was a broken foot. However, with both Tony Romo and Dez sidelined due to injury, the Cowboys don’t seem to be missing a beat. Let’s see how Dez responds to his latest criticism when he returns to the field.
