Typically the MVP award goes to the best player on the best team. The past two years, Steph Curry held claim to the award and with Kevin Durant on the Warriors now, many are expecting him to have a MVP type season.
However, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr expects a non-Warrior to win MVP this year.
“I think KD is kinda like Gary Johnson, a third party guy who is going to come in and take a few votes from Steph, takes some from LeBron and then Damian Lillard wins the election. That’s my forecast.”
Kerr is normally an upfront individual, but something tells me he’s saying this to motivate his guys.
