The Miami Heat seems to be moving on from Chris Bosh, but they reportedly wont move on from Bosh until March 1st, so Bosh contract wont count against their salary cap next summer.  Barry Johnson from Miami Herald says that Bosh isn’t planning on playing this year, and in fact is trying to force the Heat to release him so he can focus on joining a team next year.

we hear Bosh – who wants to play again – isn’t necessarily planning to play this season.

At the moment, an attempted comeback next season is considered more likely (with another team, if he can find one to clear him medically), though it’s impossible for Bosh or anyone to know how soon he can play.

Bosh is making no attempt, at this time, to force the issue and make the Heat release him.

It’s probably best for Bosh to sit out this season, and take the time to get healthy enough to make a comeback next season instead of rushing the issue in playing this year. Blood clots are a serious issue and you can see why the Heat ae being safe on not playing the all-star.
