Tim Duncan, the Spurs greatest player of their franchise, is getting his jersey number retired.
Duncan decided to retire after spending 19 seasons in the NBA – all with the Spurs. Here are the details on the ceremony:
Tim Duncan will have his No. 21 retired on Dec. 18 when the Spurs take on the New Orleans Pelicans at the AT&T Center.
Duncan will join David Robinson, George Gervin, Sean Elliott, Bruce Bowen, Avery Johnson, Johnny Moore, and Paul Silas on the list of players to have their number retired by the Spurs.
