Joe Mixon will miss time for Oklahoma again, this time over a parking attendant.
Mixon has been suspended for Thursday’s game at Iowa State following an incident in which he was given a citation per The Oklahoman.
“He was frustrated, as most of us are when we get a ticket,” Johnson said. “He tore the ticket up in front of the parking attendant, and threw it on the ground.”
Later that afternoon, at 1:30 p.m., Johnson said the parking attendant filed a complaint with OUPD.
“We are very confident that Joe did nothing criminal,” Johnson said.
“He’s been suspended for this Thursday’s game, and he understands and accepts that.”
Mixon has rushed for 813 yards and five touchdowns and caught 24 passes for 357 yards and four touchdowns so far this season, and was suspended for the entire 2014 season following an incident at an off-campus restaurant where he punched a female OU student in the face.
