No, this is not a test. This is not the time in elementary school when we were happy to get out of class and go outside for a planned fire drill. Donald Trump is really the President of the United States of America and his supporters are coming out in full in defense of his historic win. The latest is golfer John Daly (If you don’t know who he is, it’s understandable…he hasn’t won a major championship since 1995).
Daly, who’s been a long-time drinking buddy of Trump, told TMZ that he’s confident Donald will succeed as Commander-In-Chief and do more for people of color than current President Barack Obama.
I don’t have faith that a President who refers to African Americans as “The Blacks” doesn’t have a racist bone in his body, let alone will do more for people of color than the Obama administration, but maybe that’s just me. And I’m not sure that a known alcoholic and woman beater with a gambling problem is person you want to come to bat for you.
Only time will tell what direction this county will take. We can only hope it’s not backwards.
