Lil Wayne let that mouth get him in hot water once again, during an interview with ABC’s Nightline — where he slandered the Black Lives Matter movement, with lean fueled comments like, “my life matter, especially to my bitches.”
The rapper — whose been rich for almost two decades — He went on to say felt no connection with the movement– “I don’t feel connected to a damn thing that ain’t got nothin’ to do with me.”
The Young Money CEO’s camp reportedly tried to stop ABC’s Nightline from airing his interview to no avail, so he allegedly fired his publicists as a result of the blowback.
Since his comments went viral — Wayne issued an apology, explaining that the interviewer’s question about his daughter agitated him — bringing on that unthoughtful responses to her Black Lives Matter questions that followed.
TMZ reports that Wayne’s team reached out to ABC multiple times after the interview, however ABC reportedly never responded.
