Word on the street is that Nick Young is going to have to dig deep in his pockets to get out of this one. According to TMZ.com, Lakers guard Nick Young couldn’t keep his cool during a church league basketball game. Reports are that he allegedly beat up an opponent after not getting a foul called in his favor.
Luis Solis claimed that he was playing against Nick Young at the Shepherd of the Hills church in Porter Ranch, CA on August 18th. Solis stated in court documents that Nick became “enraged” after the ref missed a foul call. Solis then adds that Nick beat him down to the ground before his teammates joined in by kicking him.
Solis, who has not filed a police report, says he suffered a concussion and that this wasn’t the first time Nick has become violent during a pick up game.
I won’t pick sides because I don’t know Luis Solis to say if I believe he’s being honest or not but I will say that whoever is wrong should be punished. If Nick did beat him up, he should face jail time and if Luis Solis is lying, he should go to jail as well.
