What a difference a few months can make. Following the bizarre situation between D’Angelo Russell and Nick Young, many believed Young would be the scapegoat for Los Angeles. However, things have completely changed.
Young is now a starter for new head coach Luke Walton and he’s producing at a very efficient rate. He’s averaging nearly 15 points per game on 47 percent shooting from the field.
“This is most definitely a redemption year,” Young said. “That’s why I’ve been working so hard; I believe in myself, believe that I’ve got talent. There were just certain situations that made me take steps backwards.”
Through 10 games, the Lakers are sitting with a 6-4 record.
