Football first and legal issues later seems to be the policy that the Patriots carry. During today’s press conference, Bill Belichick shared with reporters that the Patriots knew of Michael Floyd’s DUI video before signing him.
The Patriots have a proud 12-2 record as they’re pretty much cruising into the playoffs. However, they may not be so proud of their wide receiver Michael Floyd. But then again, it shows that this DUI video didn’t matter to them because they still signed the player after being cut by the Cardinals. According to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, the Patriots knew of these legals issues before signing him.
TMZ Sports posted the video Tuesday showing the former Cardinals star passed out behind the wheel of his SUV while in traffic in Scottsdale, AZ. Cops say he was completely wasted.
When asked about the video at his Wednesday morning news conference, he replied, We were aware of the situation when we claimed him.”
He added, “[Floyd is] in an ongoing legal situation that I’m not going to comment on.”
