The two and a half-year marriage between singer Jhene Aiko and producer Dot Da Genius is drawing to a close and Dot wants Jhene to pony up some alimony.
In his response to Aiko’s divorce filing, Dot is asking for spousal support and wants the courts to prevent his estranged wife from collecting any alimony from him. In addition, Dot is trying to figure out what marital property he can claim as well as tax consequences for doing so. He has requested that the judge explain every decision made in terms of spousal support, tax implications, property valuation, and asset distribution.
The producer, who lists the date of separation as “TBD” also wants the “Post to Be” singer to pay his attorney’s fees.
Aiko is now dating her Twenty88 partner, rapper Big Sean. There has been some controversy over whether or not Aiko dipped out early on Dot da Genius; an allegation she vehemently denies.
