Bills DT Marcell Dareus appeared on the TMZ Sports tv show recently and said if you had a million dollars, you should bet it all on Alabama to win the national championship. Dareus, was a member of the 2010 Crimson Tide national title team and has no doubt his alma mater will win it all this year.
Dareus isn’t exactly stepping out on a limb. Nick Saban and his staff have built quite an empire down in Tuscaloosa. ‘Bama routinely secures the nation’s top talent, he and his staff coach them up and they win. A lot. ‘Bama will be looking to capture their 4th title under Saban, beginning this weekend at the Peach Bowl versus the Washington Huskies.
I’m no gambling expert but the money line on ‘Bama winning is -140, that means you’d have to bet $140 to win $100. Carry that out to a million and your return is around $714,000 give or take. If you’ve got the million to burn, go for it.
