The conversation of whether or not Tony Romo will start again for the Dallas Cowboys will continue unless he retires, gets traded, and vice versa with Dak Prescott.
Troy Aikman speaks out on his confusion regarding Jerry Jones and why he continues to play out scenarios for a possible Tony Romo return.
“I’m not sure that Tony, if it was left up to the owner, wouldn’t be the starter now, just based on the comments that I’ve heard in the last couple weeks,” Aikman said Thursday morning in an interview with The Ticket 96.7 FM / 1310 AM.
“I’m just really dumbfounded by the comments, and not only the first time, but why they continue,” Aikman said.
“I don’t understand why you would talk.”
Jones had a response to Aikman regarding his criticism over the comments about the qb competition.
Jerry Jones on Aikman’s criticism: “He might have had sensitivity but Dak doesn’t. Dak Prescott’s #1 quality is he doesn’t get distracted.”

I agree with Aikman. It doesn’t make sense why Jones continues to bring up Romo when Prescott is doing a good job, so far this season even though they recently lost their second game of the season to the Giants and the team has been held to just 24 points over the past few weeks. Jones should give his rookie quarterback some confidence in his game even though Prescott said he’s not startled by Jones’ comments.
