Carmelo Anthony has gone from Knicks franchise player to organizational pariah in the matter of a month.
The Knicks were contending for a top-4 spot in the East around holiday season. They’ve struggled to win since and Anthony has been tossed on the trade block as a result of their struggles.
Earlier in the week we reported on a failed trade proposal from the Knicks to the Cavs. The Knicks offered Carmelo in exchange for the much younger Kevin Love.
Withe Cleveland nonchalantly side-stepping that offer, the Knicks decided to test the waters by shopping Melo to two other playoff contending teams.
