Did Dez catch it?
Three years laters and we are still talking about the infamous “catch” of 2014. The playoffs are this weekend and we are looking at a great group of awesome games, but the game you can’t miss is the Green Bay Packers playing in Jerry’s World. And while we are all looking forward to an offensive shootout, it would be remiss of us to not want Dez to catch something impossible.
Many of us would use the former game as motivation to win this go round, but luckily Dez wont’t focus on it and only wants to play better than before. He spoke with Dallas Morning News, and spoke about the catch and how he’s prepping for the big game.
“I don’t even care,” Bryant said, via the Dallas Morning News. “That was 2014. There’s no extra motivation. There’s no nothing. If there’s any motivation, it’s just to prepare better than the last time. I feel like I’ve done that.”
“See, when I try to think about that, that will throw you off,” Bryant said. “Don’t ever change who you are, just make yourself better. When I’m out there, I don’t think like I got to do all that crazy stuff to maintain the football. I just be who I am. I just prepare that way so I don’t have to think. I just react.”
But the most important thing he was asked? “Was it a catch?”
“Yeah, of course,” he said.
