For the first time in over a decade the WWE Royal Rumble doesn’t have a clear group, 2 or 3 fighters, that all fans know are going to win the belt.
One superstar that fans are just hoping to compete in the Royal Rumble is former MXT & Universal champion Finn Balor. Balor has been out of action since August due to shoulder surgery for an injury he suffered while becoming the first WWE Universal champion at SummerSlam.
Finn is well aware of the fans’ hopes and has been playing them up on Twitter lately.

A Finn appearance is guaranteed to get a huge pop from the fans but his injury usually requires a 9-month recovery and Finn is barely entering month 7. We will see if he’s able to pull off a Super Cena-like recovery and surprise entry.
