Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was a little late arriving to the arena for Monday’s game with the Nets. Bad weather combined with NYC, equals delays. Despite the late arrival Pop still made his pre game media session. As usual, Pop was Pop. But, he did open up about what life is like without Tim Duncan.
The recently retired future Hall of Fame forward was an integral part of the Spurs dynasty and the development of several key players. Whenever someone brings up how great the Spurs organization is, Pop is quick to point out that drafting TD made all the success possible.
In a light moment during Pop’s media session he says after 20 years of talking to TD, he really misses him on the plane rides. One of the great coach player relationships we’ve seen.
