Going to jail can’t be a good feeling, but going to jail for no reason must be even worse. That was the case with Houston resident Ross LeBeau.
After being pulled over for a routine traffic stop, the officers detected marijuana and meth. Well, at least they thought it was meth.
Mr LeBeau was pulled over December 5 in Cyprus, a Houston suburb when he made a right hand turn without signalling.
Harris County Police smelled a strong marijuana odor coming from Mr LeBeau’s car. When they inspected the vehicle they found a small bag of marijuana and a mysterious substance which appeared to be meth hidden inside a sock.
Come to find out, it was kitty litter.
‘They thought they had the biggest bust in Harris County. This was the bust of the year for them.’
Mr. LeBeau spent three days in jail.
