Bill Walton dropped in at ESPNU for last night’s college football national championship game between Clemson and Alabama. Walton’s apparent lack of football knowledge provided for some cringe-worthy, yet hilarious, moments.
One of those moments came when Walton asked what city Clemson is in. An unenthusiastic Jay Bilas answered, “Clemson”.
We knew we were in for a treat when Bill showed up in an Uncle Sam costume. By the end of the broadcast, Walton had invited Michelle Beadle to stop by his room, proclaimed an affinity for marijuana, seemed to have no clue what was going on in the game, made a wardrobe change, and abruptly left the set as soon as the game ended.
